Catholic Care for Creatures (September 2017)

The theme for the retreat was Catholic Care for Creatures: Following in the Footsteps of the Saints. In preparation for the feast days of St. Francis, St. Jerome, and St. Martin de Porres, we used our time together to pray and reflect on the examples of these saints and their particular concern for animals. We enjoyed rich discussion and fellowship, as well as a delicious plant-based lunch.

Laudato Si and Animals--Preparing for the Lenten Journey (February 2017)

We held a three day retreat at the San Damiano Retreat Center in White Post, Virginia. It featured speakers including Bruce Friedrich, Dr. Alka Chandna, and Fr. Hyacinth Cordell, O.P. It included presentations, discussion sessions, time for individual prayer, and daily mass.
